CenterPointe Appoints Tami Lewis-Ahrendt as New CEO

The CenterPointe Board of Directors is pleased to announce Tami Lewis-Ahrendt as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2025. After an extensive regional search with Zelle Human Resource Solutions, Tami was selected for her leadership, vision, and dedication to CenterPointe’s mission.

“Tami's unwavering commitment to behavioral healthcare and her proven leadership make her the ideal choice for this role,” said Deb Taylor, Board Chair. “Her instrumental contributions to the development of the Campus for Health and WellBeing demonstrate her vision and dedication. With Tami at the helm, we are confident that CenterPointe will not only continue to grow but will also expand its reach and impact, helping more people get better, sooner, for longer. We also want to thank Topher Hansen for his leadership and dedication over the past 32 years. His guidance has been pivotal in CenterPointe’s growth, and his legacy will continue to inspire us.”

Tami has been with CenterPointe since 2008, serving as Director of Human Resources and later as Chief Operating Officer since 2015. She has led an internal cultural transformation and expanded key programs such as Integrated Care Teams and the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Additionally, Tami played a key role in the aquisition of Campus for Hope in Omaha.

“I am deeply honored to step into the role of CEO at CenterPointe, an organization that has been the heart of my professional journey for the past 15 years,” Tami said. “This opportunity is a continuation of my passion for our mission. I am excited to lead CenterPointe into its next chapter, leveraging my experience to strengthen our impact and continue empowering those we serve.”

Tami holds leadership roles with the Nebraska Association of Behavioral Health Organizations (NABHO), Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, and Lutheran Outdoor Ministries.
