Trainings

Integrated Peer Support Training

March 3rd-March 7th, 8:00am-5:00pm

The CenterPointe Integrated Peer Support Training is designed to prepare you to become a Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) in the State of Nebraska. The format of the course is as follows:

  •  12 hours of pre-training online coursework
  •  40 hours of intensive in-person training
  •  8 hours of post-training online coursework

This course focuses specifically on preparing you to work within an integrated behavioral health care environment.  The only requirements are having lived experience with mental health and/or substance use struggles, and a willingness to learn. Meals will NOT be provided. 

Located at the CenterPointe Campus for Health and WellBeing at 2202 S. 11th St. Lincoln, NE 68502

All payments are final.  If class is cancelled due to weather or trainer sickness/emergency, trainees will be notified of the class cancellation as soon as possible, ideally no later than two hours before the scheduled start time. Notification will be made via the primary email specified by each trainee during registration. A notice will also be posted on the training platform and any relevant social media channels. The trainer will work promptly to identify an alternative date and time for the canceled session, ensuring minimal disruption to the overall course schedule. Trainees will be informed of the new date and time within 24 hours of the cancellation. If multiple sessions are impacted by inclement weather or other disruptions, the trainer will consider alternative methods, such as virtual sessions, to maintain the training schedule. Trainees will be provided with any necessary resources to ensure continuity in learning, even in the event of disruptions.
